Fear is an emotional reaction to something that is right in front of us. Anxiety is looking ahead to some potential future threat and worrying about that.
1. God’s provision Matthew 6:25-30
– Life is more than material things.
– God clothes us with our personality, abilities, talents and gifts.
– God clothes us in His righteousness.
– The one thing we can “worry” about: Luke 12:4-5
2. Our priority Matthew 6:31-34
– Don’t let the driving purpose in your live be the amassing of physical things or the building of an impressive image.
3. Application
– Remember what is true. The enemies primary weapon is lies.
– Focus on today. Worry and anxiety focus on future possibilities, and they rob us of the joys of today. They can also cause us to neglect the things we do have control over.
– Ask your Heavenly Father. Philippians 4:6-7
