Oikos: Biblical Wisdom for Marriage & Home – Part 4

Parenting is hard …. and rewarding. Ephesians gives us a great guidelines for both parents and children (obey, honor, respect, guide, encourage…). We are all adopted into God’s family and through our adoption there is healing for wounds and mending where there is brokenness.

Even in the healthiest of relationships there is conflict. Paul writes a beautiful and powerful guide to the broken church of Corinth. From it we can learn the power of and importance of love. Have hope, be kind and extend grace, always fueled by our our future hope promised by our Lord.

Oikos: Biblical Wisdom for Marriage & Home – Part 2

Humility from Heaven

The hymn Christ-Hymn of Philippians 2 is masterfully honoring the humanity and deity of Christ. Paul paints Jesus at the highest peak of honor, placing his name above all creation; and shows this from the vantage point of the lowest points of humanity; emptied, humble and obedient.

Christmas Presence – Part 4

How does one live with the presence of God now; now that you are holy, set aside, and meant for a special purpose? Live as you are the temple of God. The fire of the Holy Spirit lives in you!
