Let There Be Light – Pt. 2

Light brings a feeling of warmth. Even when it is cold outside, the sight of the sun can bring a feeling of warmth with it. Jesus is the Light of the world. He does not reflect the light like the moon does. He is the source of light like the sun!

Going Public – Pt. 5

As Christians, we also have the opportunity to go public before authority figures. It is important to remember that authorities have been placed in the positions they have by God. We must therefore show proper honor and respect, regardless of whether we feel they deserve it or not.

24/6 The Rest of God – Pt. 3

If anyone could justify not resting, it would be Jesus. He had three years to start a movement that would change the world. But He still chose to rest. We should follow His example.

24/6 The Rest of God – Pt. 2

Creating a rhythm between work and rest is important. However, we must be sure that we do not confuse “rest” with “leisure.” We can be just as out of balance by not working enough as we can by not resting enough. Sometimes the challenge is trusting God with our rest during the time of harvest.

Knowing God by Name – Abba Father

God reveals to us a name that speaks to the kind of relationship He desires to have with us. He says that He is our “Abba,” or father. This is not the formal “Father” that we often think about, but the informal “Daddy” that children use with their parent. God wants us to have that kind of intimate familiar relationship with Him.

Unexpected Christmas – Pt.2

The wisemen of the Christmas story is a bit unexpected. What was neat is they enter the story with the desire to worship the new King Jesus, that is all. Where king Herod desired to kill Jesus. We need to dethrone the “mini-king” Herod in our hearts and worship Jesus just because of who He is.

By Grace Through Faith – Pt.3

How is your walk with the Lord. Let me tell you about a time when Peter needed some correction from Paul about drifting from a message of Grace and falling into the trap of rules and works. The Gospel should effect how we live (humble, graceful an in truth) not bound to a set of rules.
