Psalm 90 & 2023 Reflection

Pastor Donnie taught through Psalm 90 during our New Year’s Eve Service and led the congregation to reflect on 2023 and to pray for God’s will in 2024.

God’s Two Books

God communicates with us through two books: His creation and His written Word, the Bible. Pastor Donnie says we need to pay attention to both to get a fuller idea of who our God is, and what He is like.

Foretold – Part 1

Jesus foretold of his death and resurrection. Peter’s response was two fold 180° apart. How do we respond? Pray, Read Scripture and Fellowship!

One of the most powerful pieces of the Christmas story is the phrase “God with us.” This is an amazing thought! Though humanity first hid from God’s presence He continues to draw nearer and nearer to his people. The story of God coming to be with us is powerful. Living in God’s presence is where we find true fulfillment and joy.

Elijah invests in the next generation, he calls Elisha to the service of God. Elisha, “burns the yokes” of his past and asks for double blessings of the Lords spirit. God blesses a nation through revival. Pray for revival in our land.

Elijah’s expectation of Israel’s response to the slaughter of the prophets was met with a harsh reality. He went from a mountain top moment to running for his life. The LORD comes close, encourages and guides him again.
