Isaiah – Week 13
We have a tendency to focus on the present discontent instead of remembering how God has always overcome our challenges of the past. Chapter 51 in Isaiah is a reminder to Judah (Israel) of God’s greatness in delivering them from pas rears and seemingly impossible circumstances. That reminder is for us too. Jesus has proven, He is our deliverer so worthy of worship. Let’s learn from the past and have hope in Jesus.
Love God with All Your Mind – Pt. 2
Is your mindset important for your spiritual life? The word “mindset” doesn’t appear in Scripture, but it does appear flipped around as the phrase “set your mind,” and is very important, according to Pastor Donnie Johnson in part 2 of his teaching series, “Love God with All Your Mind.” For example, the way that you think about God, yourself and the world affects your prayer life greatly, and other essential elements of the Christian life.
Practicing the Presence of God – Part 5
Similar to the church in Ephesus, we all drift from our first passions. John gives us all a good reminder in his letter of Revelation, that we need to remember our passion for Christ, repent from our hardening heart and return to to the practices of love.
