Henry David Thoreau once wrote, “The mass of men lead lives of quite desperation.” That could be true, but it is an indicator that something is missing. Jesus promises more. He offers a solution to this desperation (John 10:1-18). He offered Himself so that we may know and live a full life. Jesus is the door to a full ‘zoe’ life, not just a life of existence, a life of meaning and purpose. He is the good shepherd that protects, and guides us. You need to meet my friend Jesus. This is not a promise of utopia, it is a promise of meaning (Matthew 11:28-30). The cross was an act of boldness for you.
