Over the past few weeks we have talked about where Ahaz and Hezekiah put their trust; Ahaz into his own plan and Hezekiah surrendered it all to God. Even though the nation was eventually sent into exile because of their worship of idols, God did not give up on His people or His plan (Isaiah 40:1-8). They will be a kingdom of priests (Exodus 19:5-7), and that is true for you today. So, beware of the voices that you listen to (Isaiah 40:3-11) and fill your mind with meditations of the grandeur of God (Isaiah 40:12-26). Trust in Him alone, He will renew your strength! (Isaiah 40:27-30)(Psalm 23)
