If we keep our eyes on God’s inspiring word, we will be able to see our spiritual growth and the areas we need to pray for help. Grace is God’s gift for us, through our faith in Jesus Christ. And faith is something we must practice daily. When we do, we will easily see God’s grace in our lives, fruit of the spirit.

God is not concerned with being politically correct. He loves all his children equally, male, female, first born or last, we all inherit. Not because we behave perfectly. That’s an unreasonable expectation that Jesus fulfilled for us and saved us from.

We only need to believe. To have faith in our Father. To trust that our Father is holding our hands and watching out for our good, protecting us from evil, comforting us in bad times and smiling with us in good times. Like the perfect Dad that He is.

Until we face a situation where the reasoning behind the law becomes clear.  We received the laws through Moses and they were meant to lead and guide us closer to God, our tutor or guide until Jesus came to fulfill His promise to Abraham. Jesus fulfilled the law. His sacrifice redeemed us from our transgressions so the distance between us and God could be closed permanently.

]]> Before the law, there was faith. Abraham followed God with faith “and it was attributed to him as righteousness.”

Galatians speaks to a church who’s been guided away from living by faith, believing in Christ, and back into following rules and laws where their restoration is dependent on their own actions.

But the truth is, we need a professional to restore us. We are not a “do it yourself” project. If we want a tan, we get in the path of the sun. To live by faith in our redeemer, we need to grow our faith by getting in the path of the Son.

]]> Have you ever gotten into the middle of a project and forgotten why you began it? Sometimes the Christian walk is that way. Today in Galatians 2:15-20 Paul reminds us why we follow Christ. What His sacrifice means, what Jesus has done for us. He didn’t just wipe the slate clean, or merely help us break-even on the whole sin versus good scale. Our Lord and savior made us justified and righteous. Our permanent record isn’t only made blank by His sacrifice, but it is marked “JESUS” with his righteousness.
