In Luke 15, Jesus shares parables of a lost sheep, a lost coin, and a lost son to illustrate God’s heart for those who are spiritually lost. His love is proactive, urgent, and filled with joy when the lost are found.

This sermon invites us to join in God’s search party by valuing people as He does, praying for their salvation, and sharing the story of His grace in our lives. It challenges us to create a church culture where the lost and wandering feel safe coming home and reminds us that heaven’s great joy comes when even one lost soul is found.

The post An Invitational Life – Week 6 first appeared on Liferoads Church.

In this 5th message of our “An Invitational Life” sermon series, we explore how to handle opposition in our efforts at evangelism. Rooted in Acts 4:1-31, the sermon examines how Peter and John boldly proclaimed Christ before the powerful Sanhedrin, even after facing imprisonment and threats. Their courage came not from their own strength but from dependence on the Holy Spirit and prayer. The disciples’ prayer for boldness—despite opposition—reminds us that God is sovereign, and He calls us to trust […]

Rooted in Acts 4:1-31, the sermon examines how Peter and John boldly proclaimed Christ before the powerful Sanhedrin, even after facing imprisonment and threats. Their courage came not from their own strength but from dependence on the Holy Spirit and prayer. The disciples’ prayer for boldness—despite opposition—reminds us that God is sovereign, and He calls us to trust Him, even when evangelism feels daunting.

This message challenges us to practice boldness:

Drawing on 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, the sermon walks through three steps in living a Gospel sharing life:

Receiving the Gospel – Understanding the Gospel as the message of salvation, passed down faithfully through generations.

Standing in the Gospel – Viewing the Gospel not merely as the “entry point” to faith, but as the foundation and sustenance for our entire Christian journey, from salvation to spiritual growth and beyond.

Sharing the Gospel – Embracing the courage to share Jesus with others, finding joy in every opportunity to present the message, and trusting the Holy Spirit to guide each encounter.

This message reminds us how stories shape us. We’ll explore how the Bible showcases the transforming power of personal testimony through the story of a man born blind in John 9, healed and given purpose by Jesus. His story—and ours—reveals the profound impact of sharing how God works through our lives. Learn to recognize the significance of your story, choose how to tell it, and embrace the call to bear witness to God’s work.

Reflecting on his personal sales experiences, Pastor Donnie explores the contrast between trying to “sell” Jesus and joining God’s work in drawing others to Him. True evangelism begins with seeing people as God does, moving from guilt-driven obligation to a Spirit-led partnership.

Inspired by the “Couch to 5k” for people who desire to be runners, this message encourages small steps—starting with prayer and vision to get off the sidelines and into God’s mission. Drawing from Matthew 9:35-38, Isaiah 6, and personal stories, Pastor Donnie shows how prayer, compassion, and openness lead us to become “sent ones” who embody Christ’s love in a world searching for hope.

The post An Invitational Life – Week 2 first appeared on Liferoads Church.
