Have you ever noticed how many stories about Jesus involve food? He ate with Pharisees and tax collectors, he told parables about banquets, and he ate the last supper with his disciples. The Gospels are full of stories about Jesus around tables. When we begin to look past the surface level of the many meal stories with Jesus, we discover that being around a table with someone meant more to Jesus than just eating food. Being around a table represented grace, community, and purpose. The table is a powerful symbol of the life that Jesus offers. Celebrate Easter with us this Sunday at Liferoads at one of two services – 9am or 11am. We start off the service with a time of worship followed by a message from the Bible. The service will last about 80 minutes. We offer a fantastic children’s ministry for infants through 6th grade. Come to the table.
